The history behind the Burmester gathers determination and authenticity beyond borders and centuries. Throughout the years, the company passed from one generation to the next until 1834, when Johann Wilhelm Burmester (J. W. B.), a direct descendant of the founding partner, Henry Burmester, lands in Porto, never imagining he would become the founder of a new dynasty which would become very notorious in the city.
